First woman PhD from ladakhKT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Feb 13: Zahida Bano has become the first lady of Ladakh region in acquiring the Ph.D degree. She was a Post Graduate student of History department from University of Jammu. At present, she is discharging her duty as Assistant Regional Transport Officer Ladakh. Her topic of the thesis was "Socio-political condition of Ladakh during Medieval period (1400-1725AD)". She has also cleared the National Eligibility Test for lecturership conducted by the UGC.
